Free Electron has a new WordPress theme

Recently the WordPress version I was using for many of my blogs broke, so I had to upgrade them to a new version. Of course, in the process most of the Themes I used also broke, not being compatible with the new WordPress. This meant I had to find and customise new themes. This one is called ADSimple 1.0.2 and is produced by Dimox. I like its airiness and the ease of modifying it for my needs.

For each of my other WordPress blogs I have used a different theme. You might like to check these ones out:

Antenna Blog - understanding, designing, constructing and using antennas.

Malcolm Dow Dot Com - the Roaring Mouse’s autobiographical blog.

New Spirit - I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you - Ezekiel 36:26.

Healing Prayer Ministries Network Blog - networking Christian prayer ministry centres and prayer ministry training organisations.

Speak in Tongues Blog - Learn more about effective use of the Spiritual gift of tongues.

The Blog Works - How to build a successful blog.

The Roaring Mouse - The Mouse that Roared.

Testing BlogJet

I have installed an interesting application - BlogJet. It’s a cool Windows client for my blog tool (as well as for other tools). Get your copy here: http://blogjet.com.

It allows you to edit posts for your blogs while you are offline and publish them later.

Building a Technology Blog

The transition from using Blogger.com to building blogs in Wordpress has been interesting. In one sense, using Blogger is so simple if all you want is a basic blog that it temps you to put up with its shortcomings. On the other hand, Wordpress offers much greater control and versatility, but with the disadvantage of a far steeper learning curve. I’m building four different blogs at the same time using Wordpress, and each needs to have a completely different style. I hope I don’t end up with some kind of blend of the four. This is at present the simplest of the four, with few modifications from the default template, but today I was pleased to be able to incorporate my Bloglines favourite blogs feeds.

Welcome to VK3ZDD’s amateur radio and electronics blog

Welcome to my amateur radio and electronics blog.

On this blog and website I plan to post my projects and experiences in the wonderful world of radio and electronics design, construction and operation. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful. Perhaps you will find something to encourage you in the creation of your own masterpiece, just as I was inspired by those before me to enter into a long career and hobby in this field.
